Starry Night

The central motif was made just for the fun of it. I let the strong triangular feel of the centre star determine the actual shape of the quilt, carrying the colours out to the quilt’s corners with foundation pieced wedges. And finally, embellishing a galaxy of stars and planets using thread appliques and netting.
Accepted Quilt Canada 1999, Harris Gallery, Charlottetown, PEI. Machine pieced and quilted.
