For me to know winter on the prairies is to experience snow. It comes with the feel of the cold along with the beauty it can deliver. The wind can be harsh and drop temperatures fast while the glisten of the new untouched snow can mesmerize you. Winter left her mark with record snowfall in many areas this year. In creating January Snow, I felt as though I had captured a moment in time… January 2011.
