An autumn scene: Pitt Meadows in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia.
Blueberry bushes dressed in October Scarlet, with the smoky Golden Ears Mountains in the background – a breathtaking view. My aim was to freeze this image in time.
Techniques: the sky and mountains are my hand dyed fabric, the remaining fabrics are commercial; cut edge appliqué and free motion embroidery completes the quilt.
Autumn Scarlet was shown in the Canadian National Juried show 2007 and travelled with the Mancuso World Quilt Show 2007. It was accepted into the APNQ 2008 Quiltfest.
