My path takes me on a walk through the rainforest… with its rich colours, damp smells, shafts of sunlight and soft forest floor. A once proud and tall ancient tree, this mother stump slowly decays to nourish the seedlings of tomorrow’s forest. Techniques include appliqué, hand embroidery, fabric paint and free motion quilting. The background is painted on quilt batting, embellished with needle felted yarns and wool fleece.
