The goal in this piece was to successfully combine patchwork, quilting, and embroidery. I love to experiment with joining smaller shapes into a larger hanging with the help of unusual materials. The variety of techniques and colours ensures movement of the eye. One of my personal goals in quilting is to add a third dimension to an otherwise two-dimensional art form. With the help of hand stitching, beading and layering of fabric I can achieve this. The title refers to this being the third hanging in a series.
