Swirling Leaves is a celebration of one of nature’s glorious seasons – the autumn. The intuitive process in creating this was a new learning experience for me.
The large pieced leaf for the background, bars, appliquéd leaves, netting, wind ribbon bands, couched ribbon, more leaves, glue and foil, and beads, each a separate layer, comprise the creation of the quilt top.
Machine work; cotton, polyester, silk, netting and satins.
