An avid gardener, I often wish someone would magically appear and tend to the never-ending weeds. My fantasy weedeater was inspired by a cartoon of a bookworm …now if I only had my own weedeater to selectively eat its way through my garden! Influenced by Jane Sassaman’s work, this piece provided an opportunity to explore new techniques in construction and style of expression.
