In the spirit of experimentation, my collection of black and white fabrics were overpainted with textile paint. While piecing these blocks together I was conscious of the contrast between the bright painted fabrics and the solid black fabric. It is reminiscent of the interplay of colored glass and leading in stained glass windows. Textile paint on cotton fabric; cotton thread
