I’ve been taking photographs of the patterns that the wind carves in the snow. These lines are very much like patterns carved by water on a beach or wind on sand dunes. In the province of Manitoba, we also see the patterns made by man using plows, with the debris from our roads and highways. All of these are represented in this piece, blended into something both peaceful and beautiful.
Techniques: pieced with machine quilting
Hand ruching, embroidery, beading and couching
