A leaf unfurling, a flower opening, the spiraling cycles of growth and renewal. In nature, spirals seem effortless. Sewing a patchwork spiral is a challenge, frustrating and exhilarating. Working without pattern or template, I sew outward from the center and the spiral finds its own shape and form.
