Iguanas, chameleons, lizards, gekos... Which one is this? While traveling in the Yucatan Peninsula, I visited the ruins of many Mayan pyramids. Frequently, coming closer to inspect the beautiful carvings, there it would be -- motionless, absorbing the heat from the rock, then scurrying away to hide in a crevice between the ancient rocks.
Technique - raw edge and reverse appliqué, layered and sculpted fabrics, embroidery, beads and machine quilting
