From Away
From Away 2012 is a travelling exhibition of 28 works by members of the Fibre Art Network. “From Away” is a Maritime expression meaning “Not from Around Here”. As a Western Canadian group our art reflects individual style, perspective/experience and our personal journeys with fibre medium.
The show opened at the Canadian Quilters Association Show in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It was very well received.
There was an impromptu showing at “The Greens on Lily” in Wasegaming, Riding Mountain National Park, Manitoba (July 18, 2012)
It will appear at the Creative Stitches Show in Edmonton, Alberta (September 14-15, 2012) and in Calgary (October 19-20, 2012).
Other concrete bookings are:
High River Library, Alberta (February 2013)
Ridge Meadows Guild, British Columbia (May 3-4, 2013)
