The Gary Oaks on Vancouver Island have a unique character that changes with each season and with each hour of the day. I love the sky and colour shadings that appear in the east when the sun is setting in the west. The almost deformed shapes of these trees along the walking path at Pipers Park provide plenty of inspiration for interpretations in thread and fabric!
