Peace - "It all begins with you and me. We can make a difference."
The importance of having peace within ourselves and around the world is emphasized by the purple hand forming the peace symbol, the embroidered doves and the subtle machine embroidery on some of the white squares.
The free form embroidered words indicate some of the requirements for peace. The yellow stuffed, embroidered hands represent people reaching out to one another and ready to help with the peace process. Yes, you and I are responsible for our part in creating peace.
