The squares are about fitting in, staying in your place, fitting a mold or perhaps escaping and changing shape a little. Their colours are affected by their neighbors as we are affected by those who touch us. I love stripes so made my own irregular striped fabric by strip piecing my hand dyed and bleach resist fabrics.
