Terri Van Sleuwen

This is another in my series - Modern Colour. I wanted to create art pieces that were playful; inspired by the simple shapes and bright colours of mid-century modern design. I used a black felt background and used raw edge applique to attach the brightly coloured fabric shapes. A "scribbly" stitching approach and hand stitching was used to enhance the shapes.
