About Anette Cameron
Anette is a self-taught fibre and mixed media artist. Her Danish heritage, training in archaeology and 25+ years of work within museums is the framework that inspires her quirky sense of aesthetics.
When it comes to textiles she has cared for anything from antimacassars to garments worn by Canada’s Early Pioneers, Queen Victoria, Terry Fox, Johnny Cash and Buffy Sainte-Marie amongst others.
She enjoys making one-of-a-kind layered art inspired by nature, people and life in general – past or present. Some of her pieces will have recycled objects of various kinds incorporated as well as a multitude of embroidered stitches to add texture, curiosity and uniqueness.
