Caron lives on Lac La Ronge in Northern Saskatchewan, where access to the boreal landscape is immediate and constant. Her artwork arises always from the sensory pleasure she takes from her environment, and her desire to re-immerse herself in things that have moved her: colors, textures and contrasts; light, weather and moods; grand vistas and easily overlooked detail.

 Fabric work excites Caron for its textural effects, and the much more kinesthetic and tactile way of working.  She loves to dye her own fabric for use in these pieces.
