Janet has been a painter and a plant person for most of her life. She is happiest when her hands are working and wet. She loves the feel and textures of fabrics.  Nature and curved forms inspires her.  She paints and dyes patterns onto white fabrics and then uses hand and machine stitch to layer her design concepts.  She gardens and creates always keeping in mind the kindest ways she can work with living things.  Her goal in life is to help viewers to appreciate the beauty of the natural world.
