Michele Craigen is a retired elementary school teacher. She started sewing when a teenager.

Her interest in quilting began as an adult nearing retirement. She began by sewing traditional quilts and eventually moved to making art quilts. Many of Michele’s art quilts are inspired by photographs she takes of landscapes where she lives and her travels. Love of other fibres led her to experiment with knitting and weaving also.

Michele lives and creates in Weyburn, Saskatchewan.
