I was born and spent the first 25 years of my life in the interior of British Columbia. My father worked for the B.C. Forest Service and consequently taught me much about the forests, especially to respect them and love them. The pathways of my life have taken me through many natural habitats where I have found the inspiration for the Four Seasons. The main panels of this piece are done by wet felting, nuno felting and needle felting. I have added in some embroidery. Winter and autumn are
nuno felted with thin layers of wool felted onto a backing. Although I have
been painting, drawing and printmaking for most of my life I have just recently started felting and this is my first attempt at quilting.
