From Away

From Away 2012 is a traveling exhibition of 28 works by members of the Fibre Art Network. “From Away” is a Maritime expression meaning “Not from around here”. As a Western Canadian group our art reflects individual style, perspective/experience and our personal journeys with fibre medium.

The show opened in May 2012 at the Canadian Quilters Association Show in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It was very well received. It has now been to 12 venues.

For more information about the From Away exhibit, or to arrange a showing in your area, please contact the show organizer, Thelma Newbury - fromaway@shaw.ca
