As I reflect back on the times when my mother and I walked through the forest and came upon the fragile yet resilient Lady Slipper, I still feel the joy and excitement as if we had just found the infamous gold at the end of the rainbow.

Techniques: Painted with inks, oil sticks and thread. Textures were created with candle burning, a soldering iron, yarn, old man's beard, hand & machine embroidery, a variety of fabrics - hand dyed & commercial cotton, various polyester sheers and hand woven silk
