Often our time is spent looking at the sky, buildings and people around us. But beauty can be found looking down. One fall I came across this frosted leaf perfectly situated on a gravel path. Beautiful! Paint and pencil crayon increased the prominence of frost, integrated needlelace became the frame.

Techniques: Digital Photo enhanced with Setacolor paint and pencil crayon. Machine quilting. Hand stitched needlelace. Mounted on canvas.
