Botanical Reflections inspired me to submit a vignette in an artistic way of my appreciation of plant life. I have been working in the Fibre Arts scenario for some years now and find myself leaning more towards mixed media and so this project has allowed me to express this.

Techniques: Silk felted Lilly images applique on a canvas background. Fabric painted areas and tea dyed to emulate a rustic appearance retrieved from the attic. Stitching with heavyduty thread and a hint of embroidery & beading influenced by textile artist Annemieke Mein. Canvas stretched on a 12x24" wooden frame.
