Canada has a strong Maritime history with stately lighthouses gracing its coasts and many islands. Greens Point Lighthouse (est 1879) on Letete Passage into Passamaquoddy Bay, New Brunswick is now decommissioned. It remains a favourite from childhood as its fog horn warning is one of my earliest memories of sound.
