MAGICAL THINKING: Winter Sprites by Joyce Brown

Looking out at a dark night the snow seems to glisten in the blackness. It is not hard to imagine winter sprites coming down to dance amongst the snowy diamonds. Their touch of colour gives life to the stark winter landscape.

Techniques: The snow was wet felted wool with silk and bamboo needle felted in to give the fluffy texture. The flat black of wool is quilted flat as the dark night sky. Beads and silk have been embellished on to represent the fairies.
