A special object on the horizon in winter, to the Inuit, is the the bright blue star Singuuriq (Sirius). Legend has it Singuuriq lives on the path between the earth and moon. The star twinkles when wind makes her lamp flame flicker, warning of an approaching storm.
Techniques: Fibres - wool and silk roving, cotton, cotton velvet. Techniques - nuno felt (moon), cobweb felt (smoke), wet felt (parka trim, hair). Pieced and raw edge appliqué. Free motion stitched.
