This is the 100th anniversary of W.O.Mitchell who lived one block from where I do now. The old fashioned windmill and the stormy skies are from his book - Who Has Seen the Wind. This spring we have seen our share of stormy skies bringing in the rain.

Techniques: Techniques Dyed silk background. Pieced windmill to represent the slats of wood in 3D and the waving wheat in the field. Thread play wind, windmill spokes and the wheat. This piece is square -it is my photography.
