Volcanic activity has been of interest to me since childhood. I find inspiration in the natural cycles that surround us. British Columbia is part of the Pacific Ring of Fire, and is home to a large area of volcanoes and volcanic activity. In 1775, more than two thousand First Nations people lost their lives in an eruption in northern British Columbia. This was CanadaÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s most deadly natural disaster. Today in British Columbia many of our snowcapped mountains are inactive volcanoes, however they are considered potentially active.
