Pathway to Siwash Rock
Last summer I took my granddaughter Tori on the outing of her choice for her birthday. She chose to walk the Stanley Park Sea Wall. Just as we rounded the corner to Siwash Rock we saw a heron nesting in the scraggly tree atop the rock. We took loads of pictures. This scene is from one of them. I chose not to illustrate the heron, but to remember our outing in this manner. The background fabric is hand painted, the details are appliquéd and highlighted with thread painting.
