Water Lilies Coast to Coast

Though I am a prairie girl, I have travelled to both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts of Canada. Mild coastal climates allow water lilies to flourish in lakes and streamsÃ¢â‚¬â€something not seen in my own dry, cold climate. This painted whole-cloth quilt is loosely based on photos of lilies growing wild in Vancouver, British ColumbiaÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Stanley Park, and in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, at opposite ends of our country, thousands of miles apart.
