A woodland stream splashes its way to the sea, nourishing abundant forest growth along its path. It seems so peaceful and calm, yet it is a powerful natural force. Cutting a channel through rock and gravel, it picks up and redeposits rich soil on its downward trek. Over time, it will dramatically alter the landscape, through an eternal cycle of erosion and redeposit. This particular stream is near Englishman River Falls, on Vancouver Island, BC.
