Just west of Osoyoos BC in the Nk’Mip Desert is this most interesting phenomena known as Spotted Lake. It is a mineral lake that has many different ponds separated from each other by the minerals that surround them. This land belongs to the local First Nations People of the Osoyoos area, the Okanagan Nation, and they know it as Kliluk. It is a sacred ground of healing ponds for them. The inspiration to create this piece as an abstract came from an Elizabeth Barton workshop.
