Girl on a Fence

Girl on a Fence depicts my grand-neice flipping her hair as she stands on a corral fence at her grandfather's farm along the Pembina Valley. I began with my own pghotograph printed on fabric by a commercial printer. This became my full-size drawing as I collaged with fabric, cut away areas, threadpainted, added paint or ink and free-motion stitched the entire surface until none of the original photo remained.
