This original design depicts a typlical village on the Amalfi Coast of Italy, specifially Positano. A fish vendor sells his day's catch on the shore of the deep blue Mediterraen Sea, hand painted by the artist. Cobblestone pathways and steps pass masses of hand-embroidered flowers as they lead up through the village of brightly coloured buildings which surround the central duomo. A very inviting scene which makes you want to visit or return.
