Inspired by the colors and textures of an array of fabrics and threads and the blustery weather of Fall outside my studio window, Winds of Time gradually materialized into a reflection of my 2009 core experiences. The ' winds of time' carried one generation of my family away while a new generation was born. Against a background of swirling muted colors symbolizing my sadness, the Winds of Time leaves celebrate new joys emerging in vibrant contrast.
Techniques: machine pieced; machine applique; free-motion hand-guided machine quilted.
