About Paulette Cornish

Paulette worked as a teacher and high school counsellor,in Alberta, until her move to Vancouver Island in 1994. Inspired by the legendary Nancy Crow, Paulette experimented with machine-piecing & quilting, camera, computer, iPad and printer to explore colour, texture and line in a bold and increasingly abstract style. Her several Nature series,Paulette feels, twins with her work with children: beauty and energy, innocence and vulnerability, and our ongoing responsibility to nurture and protect.
