About Margie Davidson
Margie is a quilt artist and surface designer. Her love of colour is joyfully expressed through the textile art she creates.Margie is an entertaining speaker and a supportive instructor. She enjoys teaching quilters across Canada. Margie holds a Bachelor of Education and taught children and adults at the Art Gallery of Alberta where she was employed as an educator for six years. Margie was awarded the CQA/ACC Teacher of the Year in 2013.

A quiltmaker for over 30 years, her art practice has evolved to include surface design. Her art quilts have been exhibited in local and national shows across Canada as well as in Ireland, New Zealand and the United States. Margie received awards in the Canadian Quilters’ Association National Juried Show in 2000 and 2004. She judged the National Juried Show in 2006, 2009, 2012 and 2017. She has been a member of the Fibre Art Network (FAN), a Western Canadian textile co-operative since its inception, and is a member of CQA/ACC, and Oceanside Fibre Connections.
