About Pippa Moore

Pippa Moore Colour is the driving force in Pippa’s work; line and texture are also key to her success as a textile artist. Current series include “African Stories”, “Of Leaves and Trees” and “Field Notes from New Zealand.”

Pippa has had the good fortune to live and to travel to many interesting parts of the world, and these travels have fed her natural curiosity. She grew up in a family where collecting and making things by hand were a part of life, and this led to her own interest in quiltmaking while her children were growing up. Over the last twenty plus years she has focussed on developing her own authentic voice as a textile artist. Her current work explores the telling of new stories with a plethora of old and new textiles, found objects, and a combination of hand and machine stitching.
