2024 Conference Registration Form

Welcome to the 2024 FAN Conference!

Extended Registration Deadline: August 19, 2024

This year there is a 3-part registration process including conference registration, hotel reservation and art exchange entry.

Part A – Conference Registration

Please register by filling out the online form below. If you have difficulty using the form please send your information to: fanconfevenyr@gmail.com. After August 19, 2024 please contact: fanconfevenyr@gmail.com to confirm space availability.

Conference Dates: Thursday September 19, 2024 (3pm) until Sunday, September 22, 2024 after lunch.

The conference registration fee is $450 per person. This includes all meals and gratuities, meeting rooms, conference program, and transportation to scheduled events only. You are responsible for getting to/from the conference hotel. Refunds are not available for the conference registration fee. You are encouraged to purchase travel insurance to cover your costs should you be unable to attend.

Payment is requested at the time of registration by etransfer to fibreartnetwork.treasurer@gmail.com.

Part B    Hotel Reservations

Please reserve your room before August 19, 2024 directly with the hotel using this dedicated link: http://coa.st/FibreArtNetworkAnnualConference.

Confirm who your roommate will be prior to contacting the hotel. If you need to find a roommate, send an email request via fibreartnetwork@googlegroups.com to identify another conference attendee looking for a roommate.

Hotel check-in is 3:00 pm, check-out is 11:00 am.  The Conference starts on Thursday September 19 with registration from 3-5 pm and dinner/evening program, and ends with lunch on Sunday September 23. 

The conference rate is $129 + $15.83 taxes/night ($144.83/night) for single or double occupancy. Specify whether you want two queen beds or a king bed. If you would like to stay up to 3 extra nights either before or after the conference at the conference rate, use the link first to book the conference nights, then contact Alexis at Coast to request the additional nights (780-423-7529 or  a.smith@coasthotels.com).

Check with the Coast Hotel re cancellation policy.

The Hotel has a policy that any alcohol in public places (e.g. dining area, etc.) must be purchased from the hotel. You may, however, consume your own alcohol in your rooms.

Parking in the Coast Edmonton Plaza parkade is $17.85/vehicle/day including GST.

Part C – Art Exchange

If you wish to participate in the art exchange, check the appropriate boxes on the form below. Once you have submitted the conference registration form go to the Member Area of the FAN website to complete the intent to enter form, which is under the Exhibits” tab. 

Last Date for Intent to Enter: September 3, 2024.
Last date for entries: September 10, 2024.

There is no fee to enter the art exchange.

Financial Support: FAN has limited financial assistance for anyone who would have a difficult time attending the conference without it. Contact FAN treasurer, Terry Aske, at fibreartnetwork.treasurer@gmail.com. Inquiries are confidential.

Membership Name Tags: Please bring your name tags with you as new ones will not be issued. If you have lost your name tag a new one can be made for you at a cost of $10.00. Members who attend the conference who have never received a name tag, will be issued one. Please let Gisela Carroll membershipfan@gmail.com know prior to the conference.
