Every autumn, Im fascinated and inspired by the explosion of color in the fall foliage near my home on the West Coast of Canada. The trees appear to be putting on a fashion show with their most dramatic attire. I love walking through the trees as the leaves float and drift in the breeze before finally reaching the ground, there to become part of a multi-colored carpet of fallen leaves.
This original design was created by tracing real leaves and using my most vibrantly colored cottons to capture the essence of autumn in fabric.
