The Cowichan Valley where I live inspired this work of stitch artistry. The lush evergreen forests, the sloping hills of the vineyards, and the abundance of vegetation in this temperate rainforest never fail to stimulate my creative muse.
It is made entirely of used woolen blankets, hand-dyed to give natural colour and the organic feel to the land rich in trees and fertile farms. The light weight chiffon overlay reminds the viewer of the morning mist so necessary in the cycle of life.
