Among the Flame Flowers is a miniature piece.  The background is a basic symmetrical shape.  Subtle variations in the colour and shape of the motifs were added for close-up interest.  Miniature quilts are time consuming to create; it took approximately twenty-four hours to quilt this 14" square piece.

Materials: artist's hand-dyed cotton and cotton sateen: binding and backing: vintage kimon silk

Among the Flame Flowers was awarded 1st Place in the Miniature category at Quilt Canada 2016.
