I love making small quilted landscapes mounted on canvas - somehow 6"x6" is a favorite size. Perhaps that was influenced by Yellowknife's Down to Earth Gallery (a marvellous place, go there if you visit YK!) with their annual "Anonymous Art Show and Sale", at which all kinds of YK artists submit 6"x6" canvasses. You can buy immediately, but you won't know which artist you bought until after the show is over and you've picked yours up!

This piece seeks to capture the way in which a tree soul communes with its natural environment, even and perhaps especially in winter.
