Ekphrastic

Alice Major's poem spoke to me of the joy I experience seeing shafts of sunlight illuminate golden leaves. It also refers to the passage of time, in the contrast between dying autumn leaves and the samaras, seeds of tomorrow's maple trees. Time is called.
