When we moved to Victoria from Ontario I was fascinated by the Arbutus trees. This is the third piece I have created using the tree as my inspiration, each one very different. This one I decided to separate the tree into 6 sections connected by chains. The  background fabric is handdyed cotton and machine stitched following the lines of the tree. The tree is made up of many types of yarns, threads and chopped up fabric.
