The idea for “Covid Conversations” was formed while I was trying to process some of what I was living during our first wave of Covid lockdown. It was challenging for me to nurture important relationships while practicing physical distancing to keep everyone safe (we are all huggers in my family). Covid-19 challenged us to find new ways to communicate and stay connected, and we made this work!

Social visits with my 90 year old Dutch mother-in-law living in a long term care home became “window visits”, with a pane of glass between us, using a phone held by a care aide.
