Adaptation of traditional Japanese Boro patching of worn textiles using the Sashiko "stab stitch" technique, this piece includes overlapping Japanese loose-weave cotton fabrics held together & emphasized.  Wool batting gives texture to the subsequent machine & hand quilting.  Boro/Sashiko hand-stitching is a technique I love to teach.
