Gay Walker

In the spring thaw, a waterfall expands in size and intensity, carrying the extra volume of meltwater - an impressive sight as it rushes and tumbles over the rocks, its spray glittering in the sunlight. I have always loved waterfalls! Exhibited in FAN’s “Waterworks”.

Technique and materials: Cottons and silks, machine pieced, hand appliquéd, stuffed and manipulated. Embellished with metallic threads and ribbons, beads and net. Free-motion machine embroidery and hand embroidery.
